Online Jobs For Teens
Many of the same online earning ways for adults also work for teens. However, some websites require you to be 18+ to sign up, but everyone is 18 on the Internet! ;)
You can get paid in 3 ways:
You can get paid in 3 ways:
- PayPal account if you have a credit card/if your parents can make you one.
- GiftCards
- BitCoin (My Favorite One)
1. Mobile Earning
Most teenagers have a smartphone, tablet, or iPod and most use it purely for entertainment, but did you know that you can make some money using your Android or Apple device?
There are numerous apps out there, but check out the Mobile earning section of the website for details on downloading the apps, and my two favorite apps for making money.
GET PAID FOR TEXTING: You can use Drizzle to get paid for texting people. More info here.

2. Review Music
UPDATE: Because of a high level of reviews submitted, it's nearly impossible to write a review worth more than 15 cents in 90 seconds. Because of this you can only earn between $1-$2 an hour instead of the higher number I had before ($4-$12).
Now SliceThePie is only profitable if you do it during holiday season when they pay you at least 14 cents per song no matter what. Otherwise it's a waste of time.
Slicethepie pays you money for listening to a piece of music, reviewing it, and rating it on a scale of 1-10, but it pretty much sucks now.

3. Reward Sites
Reward sites like Swagbucks give you points you can exchange for online gift-cards for searching the web with them, watching videos, and doing other things.
In fact, you can earn 150 SB if you sign up using my link, which means you will only need 300 more SB, to get a $5 Amazon Giftcard!
There are also some other reward sites out there, which you can check out by going here!

4. Freelancing (Jobs For 16 Year Olds)
Most freelancing websites allow you to work as long as you are 16 or older. If you are under 16, you might be able to work with a parent's permission, but that's where things get shaky. You'll need a Paypal account to cash in the money you make, and since PayPal is 18+, you will need to have an adult create an account for you. Check out the Freelancing page for more information!
5. Stock Photos/3D Models (Any age)
Most teenagers love taking pictures, and if you sign up for a Stock Photo website, you might be able to make some money with it! The small catch is, an adult will have to make an account in his/her name because all of the websites are 18+. However, you can always use an app like Foap (Android, Iphone), to take pictures with your phone, and hope that someone buys them!
6. YouTube
If you have a certain skill, you're good at video games, or you just want a way to express yourself, YouTube is a good way to do that! You will need an adult to create an AdSense account to receive money, but anyone 13+ can create a YouTube account and post videos. If you want to know more, go to the YouTube page of this website!
7. Twitch
If you're a gamer and you enjoy the company of like-minded gamers, you might enjoy the idea of being able to stream your gameplay through Twitch. Most people mix this with YouTube, and if you spend an hour or two a day focusing on creating the best streaming experience for your viewers and uploading your streams to YouTube, you could make a nice sum of money from donations and Affiliate Programs. Check out the Twitch page of this website for more information.
8. Online tutoring
Are you very good at a certain high-school or college subject? Do you have experience tutoring people, or do you think you have something to offer other students? You can sign up for Enroll and create a tutor account there. You can choose what subject you can tutor students in, what you want to be paid per hour, and when you are available. Check out the Online Tutoring section to learn more!
9. Amazon Mechanical Turk/Surveys
If you're not easily bored by repetitive tasks, you can complete simple Amazon Mechanical Turk tasks and get some money. This requires entering your SSN, so ask an adult before you do it!
The tasks range from $30 dollars for transcribing a 2 hour audio, to 5 cents for searching a keyword on Google and pasting the top result into a requested form. Most people go into this with a super excited mindset, but end up burning out and getting bored when they earn 30 cents. However, if you really need any amount of money and don't mind repetitive tasks, you could earn between $5-$15 an hour while watching TV.
There are also various websites out there that pay you for taking surveys. Swagbucks offers surveys as a way to earn SB, but if you want to check out some other websites, go to iPoll or Inbox Dollars. Keep in mind that if you take a lot of surveys in a month and answer truthfully, you will either get disqualified a lot because of the other surveys you took or you will be bored out of your mind. However, if you really need the money, you can earn $5-$10 an hour.

10. ETSY/ONLINE SALES
Are you an artist? Do you paint, make jewelry, or do you have things lying around you'll never use again, but they could be of use to someone? Then this is a perfect way for you to earn some money! There are many young artists on Etsy, and even though you might need the help of an adult to set up an account with the payments and other information, in the end it's more than worth it!
Etsy is the most popular website on the web to buy handmade art creations like silk scarves, polymer clay necklaces, and many more. If you are an artist and you're not selling your creations on there, then you're missing out on a big chunk of possible income.
If you have items lying around you don't need, you can always use eBay or Craigslist to sell them. If you want to sell your old electronics, my personal favorite is Glyde because it gives you the most money, but you can see what Gazelle offers for your electronic too.
You can make quite a bit of cash by selling all of your old, unused electronics.
If you have other ways of making money online as a teen, don't be afraid to send me a message from the Feedback section!

11. UserTesting
UserTesting pays you for recording yourself while you're interacting with websites, and they pay crazy well!
They pay out to your PayPal account, and you will get $10 for 10-20 minutes of your time!
However you need a fairly deep voice to do this, and you need to be 18. (Everyone is 18 on the Internet)
Here's almost $300 of payment proof from them for the first 3 months of 2015!
