Channel Settings Tab
Upload Defaults
Check out your Upload Defaults page and change some settings around so you don't have to change them every video. Choose the category most of your videos will be in, and if you have certain tags or parts of descriptions that you keep the same throughout your videos, put that in here!
InVideo Programming
When you're done with that, go to the InVideo Programming page to put your brand on all of your videos.
Make a small, bright image, that says Subscribe and put that as your Branding Watermark. Make sure to make the display time the entire video! (People don't mind it, and you'll get more people subscribing to you)
Pick a video to feature in the beginning of your video. I have this as my most recent upload, but if you have a certain video you want to get as many views as possible, pick that! For the start time pick custom start time and set it for somewhere around 00:30 seconds. Don't put it right at the beginning because it will overwhelm the viewer, and don't put it at the end because then less people will still be watching your video at that point.
If you put an intro on every single one of your videos, then you can add a branding into.

Fan Finder
Once you're getting to the 100,000 views mark, you can put a short ad video into the fan finder box that YouTube will use as a FREE ad for you! That's right! There's no catch! It's completely free exposure, so why wouldn't you do it?
YouTube has a lot of great tips on this, but most importantly, make sure your video is short, describes your channel well, and is interesting to watch.
