Starting Out On Twitch
Creating a Twitch account is so simple that even talking about it seems silly.
Just click on the purple Sign Up button in the top right corner of the page. Enter your username (preferably the same as YouTube if you have an account), password, birthday and email and voila! You have a Twitch account! |

After finishing the difficult task of creating a Twitch account, it's time for a general profile setup. Go to your Settings and put the same profile picture that you have on YouTube. If you don't have a profile/channel picture yet, it's the perfect time to create one! After you have your profile picture uploaded it's the time to write a channel description.

Channel And Video Settings
Since you're already creating your channel picture, now might be the time to create your Banner for when you're offline. Make it 1280*720 pixels, and make it easy to read.
Make sure the Archive Broadcasts option is checked! This is very important if you want to upload your stream highlights (or whole streams) to YouTube.
All the other options are fairly self-explanatory.
Connections Settings
This is where you connect all of your accounts. I recommend connecting everything your followers on all your accounts can see when you stream.
If you have a YouTube account, a really nifty feature is showing an annotation to every viewer on all your videos that says that you're streaming. This way if you get a viewer on your videos while you're streaming, they might check out your Twitch and you might gain a new follower!

After you're done with the above setup, go to your channel. And under your video you should see a Edit Panels sign. These are the panels that people will see under your stream, and this will be your main way of making money on Twitch in the beginning, and getting your viewers to check out your other accounts.
Make sure all of your panels have a similar design.

Now you have your account set-up, and all you need is to figure out what streaming program you will use, and set that program up!
My favorite is OBS because it's free and takes up very little memory, but here's a list of most of the programs out there!
