I was pretty happy with the performance of my YouTube account for the past couple months.
My income has been steadily increasing and it brought in 4-10 referrals per day to PaidVerts.
However, I've also had some problems with it.
Two weeks ago I published a video about making money on PaidVerts without any investment and it got flagged and taken down because of violations of the Community Guidelines.
I didn't see a problem with my video so I assumed it was a competitor flagging my videos.
Around 2 days ago I posted another video about the huge update on MyTrafficValue/PaidVerts and it also got flagged.
This is the email that I received:

I wasn't very happy with it and when I visited my account I realized I wouldn't be able to post any videos for 2 weeks.
I decided to appeal as I thought that my video was actually useful and I didn't see any problems with it.
I woke up today to find this in my inbox:

That would've been fine.
But as I scrolled up I also found this beauty in my mailbox:

My account got banned and the funniest part is at the end of the email:
You are prohibited from accessing, possessing or creating any other YouTube accounts.
So basically they didn't just ban my account, but they also banned me from YouTube for life?
Interesting...
This email also makes the "we appreciate your understanding" part of the previous one sound like a joke.
Also when I log in into YouTube and click on my account I get sent to this page which says that I can appeal if I feel that my account has been terminated unfairly, but I'm afraid that they'll ban my AdSense account so I won't risk it.
The ultimate reason for the ban can be found here, but this is the most relevant quote:

If the main purpose of your content is to drive people off of YouTube and onto another site, it will likely violate our spam policies.
The goal of my videos was to get people to check out PaidVerts and learn more about it, but I guess I was too promotional in my videos.
Anyway, all of my videos on that account are unavailable (which is why the links to them disappeared from my site) and I deleted the original videos 2 weeks ago.
Thankfully they didn't ban my AdSense account (for now), but it might happen sooner or later.
Any other videos that I post will be on DailyMotion as I think they have a more tolerant policy towards channels like mine.
You can check out my channel here if you're interested!
DailyMotion also has a partner program that I joined, but I'm not sure how many people actually watch videos on the site so we'll see how much revenue I get from my videos.
You can expect a small case-study sooner or later on this site!
